ONCE UPON A TIME

''ONCE UPON A TIME'', words that bring all the childhood memories flashing back. How these words pulled us in the world of Cinderella, the poor girl waiting for her prince charming, or Rapunzel letting down her long blond hair for her precious prince to climb, the girl as white as snow lying dead waiting for ''The true kiss of love''.

Do you see the pattern in all of these? All revolve around the concept of love and romance. For years children have been growing up with this concept buried deep in mind that one day they will find that one true love and life will become "Happily ever after".

I think its time that we start writing our own "once upon a time'' based on our dreams and things we want in life, strive to make our happy endings on our own rather than waiting for someone to ride on a white horse and swipe us off our feet.

  3. So true! It's time that these stories stop revolving around romanticism instead teach children how to follow and fulfil their dreams and aspirations

  4. A great piece that challenges the very root of our thinking which intertwines the idea of romance with co-dependence. Love it.
